Curve 40-10

Polyx™ Curve thermocompressed polyester board is manufactured through a meticulous process of tumbling, needle punching, and heat and pressure compression. Featuring a standard dimension of 1200mm x 2400mm, a material thickness of 3mm, and unique diameter sequences, this board is ideal for a variety of acoustic enhancement applications. Certified eco-friendly (Oeko-Tex® Standard 100) and fire-rated (EN 13501-1, Class B s1, d0), Polyx™ Curve ensures sustainability and compliance. Perfect for creating sound-optimized environments, it’s an excellent choice for modern interiors.

Specifications

Several rectangular material samples in neutral and green tones, including PET polyester panels, are arranged on a white surface. A set of three green leaves rests near the center. Each sample is labeled Polyx.

Sound Absorption Coefficient

A graph showing sound absorption coefficient (α) versus frequency for 50mm Rockwool, ideal for Polyx Curved Acoustic Panels. The curve rises steeply from 0 at low frequencies, reaching about 1.1 at higher frequencies (up to 5000 Hz).

Polyx™ is tested to ISO 354 Standards, which is the measurement of sound absorption in a reverberation room. The difference in the reverberation times is a measure of the amount of absorption in the room.

Green fabric swatches, arranged from dark to light shades, are surrounded by various green leaves and small yellow flowers on a white background, evoking a natural, botanical, and eco-friendly feel—perfect inspiration for PET polyester panels.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Polyx™ Curve 40-10 is a thermocompressed polyester acoustic board featuring a curved profile designed to enhance both sound absorption and visual appeal in interior spaces. It is engineered through tumbling, needle-punching, and heat-and-pressure compression to form a dense, durable acoustic surface ideal for modern architectural installations.

Rather than reflecting sound, Curve 40-10’s high-density polyester structure absorbs sound energy and helps reduce echo and reverberation, significantly improving acoustic comfort in offices, lounges, classrooms, and other spaces that need effective noise management. Acoustic absorption works by capturing sound waves in porous materials, converting sound energy into a small amount of heat and reducing overall noise.

Yes — Curve 40-10 panels typically come in 1200 mm × 2400 mm sizes with a core thickness of around 10 mm. They are made from 100% PET thermocompressed polyester, offering both acoustic performance and design flexibility. The panel also meets commonly referenced safety standards suitable for interior environments.

Absolutely. The polyester board used in Curve 40-10 panels is eco-friendly and recyclable and has passed Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 testing for safe chemical content. It also meets fire-classification standards such as EN 13501-1 Class B s1, d0, making it a practical choice for commercial and residential interiors.

Curve 40-10 is suitable for walls and ceilings in a variety of settings, including corporate offices, educational facilities, hospitality spaces, and creative environments. Its curved acoustic design can be used alone or combined with other Polyx™ panels to achieve both functional sound control and bespoke interior styling.
