Wood

Polyx™ Wood is a 100% PET board with a veneer-printed surface designed for enhanced aesthetics and acoustic performance. Manufactured through tumbling, needle punching, and baking of polyester fibers, it features a high-density fibrous network that absorbs sound and reduces reverberation. Available in dimensions of 1220mm x 2440mm and thicknesses of 9mm, 12mm, 18mm, and 24mm, Polyx™ Wood is eco-friendly (Oeko-Tex® Standard 100), fire-rated (EN 13501-1, Class B s1, d0), and offers an NRC of 0.75 (ASTM C423-17) with a 24mm panel.

Specifications

Several rectangular material samples in neutral and green tones, including PET polyester panels, are arranged on a white surface. A set of three green leaves rests near the center. Each sample is labeled Polyx.

Sound Absorption Coefficient

Polyx™ is tested to ISO 354 Standards, which is the measurement of sound absorption in a reverberation room. The difference in the reverberation times is a measure of the amount of absorption in the room.

Green fabric swatches, arranged from dark to light shades, are surrounded by various green leaves and small yellow flowers on a white background, evoking a natural, botanical, and eco-friendly feel—perfect inspiration for PET polyester panels.

Eco-friendly

Frequently Asked Questions

Polyx™ Wood acoustic panels are PET acoustic panels finished with a wood surface or wood-effect design, combining the warmth and visual appeal of timber with effective sound absorption to enhance both acoustics and aesthetics in interior spaces.

The sound-absorbing PET core captures and dissipates sound energy as it passes through the panel surface, helping to reduce echo, control reverberation, and improve speech clarity, while the wood finish maintains a refined architectural look.

These panels are ideal for walls and ceilings in offices, meeting rooms, hospitality interiors, retail spaces, education facilities, and feature areas, especially where a natural wood appearance is desired alongside reliable acoustic treatment.

Yes, Polyx™ Wood panels use high-density recycled PET fibre, offering a lightweight, low-VOC, and environmentally responsible alternative to solid timber panels while still delivering a wood-inspired visual finish.

Absolutely — Polyx™ Wood panels are available in various wood finishes, colours, panel sizes, and layout configurations, allowing designers to tailor both the acoustic performance and the overall visual character to suit each project’s design intent.
